Strong answers mention data (audits, incident trends), process (policy, risk register, escalation to matron), people (supporting the staff member fairly, involving HR or occupational health) and follow-up (how you measured the change).

What do Band 7 nurse interviews focus on?
Leadership of a team or service, clinical governance, risk and incident management, staffing and budget pressures, managing performance and sickness, and quality improvement. Expect scenario questions rather than purely clinical ones.
How is a Band 7 interview different from Band 6?
Band 6 questions test leading a shift. Band 7 questions test running a ward or service over time: data, audits, complaints, staff wellbeing, recruitment and working with senior management.
Should I prepare a presentation?
Many Band 7 interviews include a short presentation, often on a quality improvement idea or your vision for the team. Check the invite letter; AI can help you outline it, but use your own service's real priorities.
